Construction of the North Pier

The construction of a completely new pier will commence in spring 2013. We already have the International Pier stretching to the east and the Domestic Pier to the west. The new, and third, pier, will stretch to the north, and handle both international and domestic traffic, separated on two levels.

Your trip will not be affected
The construction of the new pier will not affect your trip. As you enter through security a temporary wall will shield you from the building work taking place behind it. The terminal building will not be as nice during the construction period, and the large windows to the north will no longer be visible.

300 metres of modernity
The new pier will be 300 metres long, totalling 63 000 square metres. The solution will not increase walking distances, as the piers are equally long. You will still be able to walk from the train to check-in and gate without thinking that this is far, or being afraid of getting lost.

The gates in the new pier will be twice as efficient as the current gates, and will handle two aircrafts at the same time. The pier will have a total of 17 aprons, of which 11 will have bridge connections. There will be new shops and restaurants at the beginning of the pier.
While the new arrivals and departures hall will follow the airports existing architecture, the new pier will have a different and more modern expression.

The North Pier will be completed and opened in 2017.
