The aim is to create positive synergies and to contribute to a strengthening of the airport's position as the most important national and international travel hub in Norway.

Areas of considerable size
Overall, OSL has four areas of a total of 2,7 km2, which is to be developed for airport-related business activities. Space in the arrivals zone amounts to approx. 1,7 km2. This is the most centrally-located part of the airport area. Other trading areas cover Brudalen-Røgler in the south, Operation area West at the current civil air terminal, and Operation area North.

The heart of the airport area
The core area in the arrivals zone cover the airlines' operating areas and cargo, customs and catering. Other airport-related business activities are divided into eight development areas. The total expansion potential is around 1 million square metres.

The road system, and the technical systems in the arrivals zone have been developed to allow gradual expansion from a number of central points. For activities and businesses which are directly linked to airline operations, will be given priority.

Businesses wishing to serve the operators, passengers or more than 13,000 people employed at the airport should recognise the benefits by setting up at OSL.
