Check-in
All departures are displayed with flight number, destination and time of departure on monitors at the ends of the check-in counters, and indicate the location of your airline check-in. The A to H check-in areas are clearly marked.
The Self Service check-in allows you to check in by yourself by using a machine. The machines are located close to the check-in area for your airline.
Self Service check-in is fast, simple and convenient. The departure process is speedier because there is less time spent waiting, and it gives you control over the check-in process. With Self Service check-in your trip will get off to a pleasant start and you will have more time to enjoy the shops, restaurants and bars.
How does it work?
- Insert your passport, credit card or airline card into the scanner on the machine. You may also enter your reference number.
- Supply the required information.
- Some airlines allow you to change your seating, if desired.
- Collect your boarding pass and baggage tag if these are provided. Fix the baggage tag to your baggage in accordance with the provided instructions.
- If you have baggage to check in, proceed to the designated luggage drop point.

Self-service baggage drop
The service provides passengers with the opportunity to check in their own baggage themselves, easily and efficiently.
The self-service baggage drop is located in the terminal, on the departure level - in field C (Norwegian), field D, and field F (SAS). The service is limited to baggage weighing less than 20 kg. Backpacks with straps and special baggage must be checked in at the staffed baggage drop as before, at special baggage – Field G
Airlines might operate with own rules for the use of Self-service baggage drop.
Online and mobile check-in
Many airlines offer online or mobile check-in. Here you have the opportunity to check-in in advance, chose your favourite seat and change your reservation. Visit your airlines home page to learn more about these services.
NB! If you wish to make use of online or mobile check-in, be sure to familiarize yourself with the service in time before the flight.
ID
Citizens of one of the 15 Schengen member nations can travel between these countries without a passport. It is still advised to bring your passport when traveling abroad.
A Norwegian passport is the only valid proof of ID for Norwegian citizens outside of Scandinavia.
