OSL is now approaching capacity and expansion of the terminal is under way and will be completed in 2017. Last year marked the start of the first major deliveries of the T2 project with the opening of the temporary domestic passenger terminal in September. At the same time, the majority of the new taxiways were completed and are being made ready for operations in May 2013.

The strike by security guards and shortage of air traffic controllers led to disruptions in summer traffic, and on 25 September a fault in the fuel system halted fuel deliveries, leading to long delays for a number of flights. Operations were otherwise unmarked by major disturbances.

The company posted an operating profit of NOK 1,426 million, up NOK 79 million from 2011, thanks to the increased number of passengers. Profit after tax was NOK 862 million.
